Trent Richardson Misses Practice due to the Birth of his 3rd Child
For those who may follow me on Twitter, you may already know that I have what I like to call a "Confidential Informant" as it relates to matters concerning the Cleveland Browns. I have documented multiple breaking news stories sometimes weeks in advance of when the media picks up on these things (Phil Taylor injury, Joe Haden suspension, Trent Richardson knee surgery).
The latest bit of news, as the Browns prepare to face the defending Super Bowl champion New York Football Giants is the conspicuous absence of their star running back, and #1 draft pick Trent Richardson from today's practice.
Practices on a Friday are little more than a walk-through, but the fact remains. As of the time of this writing, Trent Richardson is not at practice. Some folks in Berea may know why and just aren't saying, but the buzz around the facility is that of confusion.
This particular bit of information has been picked up by the media already as part of the session is open to the media, but no one is saying where Trent is or why he's not practicing.
While the Browns are not saying where he is and some people within the organization don't know where he is, I have confirmed that he is with his girlfriend who is labor with his 3rd child. While there may have been a bit of a panic, which the Browns did not help to alleviate given their secrecy, the good news is that Trent should be ready to go on Sunday.
