ARIZONA -- The Arizona Cardinals may have found a valuable piece to their offense moving forward in second-year tight end Trey McBride, who has now put on multiple strong performances in the absence of Zach Ertz (currently on IR with a knee injury).

McBride played a major role in Arizona's 25-23 win over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday and was a clear priority for Kyler Murray, who is back in the saddle and shouldn't be removed heading into the final games of the season.

We're approaching crunch time for NFL and fantasy football teams alike - and while 31 other teams can't acquire McBride, you should snag him on your waiver wire if available.

PFF

"Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride is still only rostered in 59% of Yahoo leagues, but that number is likely to increase significantly after waivers this week because he's coming off the best game of his career where he racked up 131 yards on eight receptions and a 94.3 PFF receiving grade," wrote Gordon McGuinness.

"Over the past four weeks, he ranks second among tight ends with 34 targets and third in both receptions (24) and yards (277). In that same span, his 34 targets are 11 more than any other player on the Cardinals roster."

"McBride is clearly a big part of this offense, and while Zach Ertz's return from a quad injury could spoil that – he's eligible in Week 12 – I have a hard time seeing that actually happening," wrote Chris Towers

"Ertz was earning targets at a high rate before his injury, but was averaging just 4.3 yards per target; McBride is nearly doubling that at 8.2 Y/T. He's just a much more dynamic playmaker, and the Cardinals don't have enough of those to take that step backward.

"It's not a guarantee, but I have a hard time seeing the Cardinals going back to Ertz when McBride has looked so good recently. Given his role in what is an ascending offense with Murray, McBride looks like a sure-fire top-10 TE the rest of the way, and potentially a top-six option."

"Kyler Murray returned to action in Week 10 and took full advantage of his new weapon, Trey McBride. Murray fed the second-year tight end nine targets and McBride reeled in eight of them for 131 yards, the third most receiving yards from a tight end this season. McBride has cleared 20 fantasy points in two of the last three games and is second to only T.J. Hockenson in tight end scoring over the last five weeks," wrote Chad Workman.
