Pittsburgh Steelers sign Super Bowl-winning wide receiver
Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

On Wednesdays, the Pittsburgh Steelers added a wide receiver with Super Bowl experience ahead of voluntary practice OTAs this month. The Steelers have been linked to a few high-profile receivers in recent weeks.

The Pittsburgh Steelers needed to replace Diontae Johnson

The Steelers need to get the most out of veteran quarterback Russell Wilson, who is playing for Pittsburgh on the veteran minimum. The team has a hole on the roster following the trade of Diontae Johnson to the Carolina Panthers. The Steelers added Michigan standout Roman Wilson in the draft to pair with George Pickens, but the team needed another experienced receiver.

The Steelers have been linked to DK Metcalf, Brandon Aiyuk, Deebo Samuel, Tee Higgins, and Tyler Boyd in recent weeks. Boyd signed with the Tennessee Titans on Tuesday. With options being limited in free agency at this point in the year, the Steelers added a former Tampa Bay Buccaneers playmaker.

Scotty Miller signs with the Steelers

According to Adam Schefter with ESPN, the Steelers are signing Scotty Miller to a one-year deal.

The Buccaneers selected Miller in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He won Super Bowl LV as a member of the Buccaneers. He played for the Atlanta Falcons last season.

At 26, Miller has recorded 85 receptions for 1,085 yards and six touchdowns in his five-year NFL career.
