Watch: Elijah Moore Scores First Browns Touchdown
Mandatory Credit: Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

Elijah Moore’s touchdown drought is finally over.

And it ended at an opportune time for the Cleveland Browns, who was down 14 points to Baltimore and had struggled to find the end zone most of the afternoon.

Moore caught a 10-yard pass from Watson to cut the Ravens’ deficit to 31-24. Watson scrambled outside the pocket and patiently waited for Moore to find a seam in the Ravens’ coverage.

Moore had been underwhelming in his first eight games for the Browns and had totaled only 270 yards off 29 receptions. He’s been the Browns’ No. 2 receiver behind Amari Cooper, but he had struggled to generate the explosive plays expected from him after the Browns traded a second-round pick to acquire him from the Jets last offseason.

The touchdown could help Moore get back on track — he last scored in Week 11 during 2022.

His score certainly helped the Browns get back on track, and they managed to close the gap even closer when cornerback Greg Newsome II turned in a pick-six on Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson on the next defensive drive. Kicker Dustin Hopkins missed the extra-point, though, so the Ravens still held a 31-30 lead.

With his touchdown, Moore has caught five passes off seven targets for 44 yards. He's helped quarterback Deshaun Watson overcome a slow start in the game where he completed just one pass in the first quarter. Watson has now completed 58 percent of his passes with one touchdown and one interception.
