According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Napoli have sent a formal €40m offer to sign Torino and Italy defender Alessandro Buongiorno so Inter could go for Udinese‘s Jaka Bijol.

Napoli have sent a €40m offer to sign Italian centre-back Buongiorno from Torino, reports Il Corriere dello Sport.

The Rome-based paper claims Napoli’s opening big is worth €35m plus €5m add-ons.

Tottenham on alert as Napoli send offer for Buongiorno, while Inter find alternative

Napoli President De Laurentiis believes Buongiorno is the best possible reinforcement for Napoli’s defence in 2024-25 and is determined to beat his competitors. Torino’s asking price is set at €40m, so the Partenopei hope to reach an agreement with the Granata.

Corriere dello Sport confirms interest from Milan, Inter, Juventus and some Premier League clubs in Buongiorno while Calciomercato.com reported a few days ago that Tottenham had opened talks to sign the 24-year-old.

Serie A champions Inter are monitoring the situation and can’t still afford to match the Partenopei’s offer, so they are keeping a close eye on Udinese’s Jaka Bijol, whose price tag could dramatically drop if the Bianconeri are relegated to Serie B this season.
